YOUR HOME AWAY FROM HOME

This architectural masterpiece sits levitating above the worlds most bio diverse eco system. You'll enter your exclusive oasis from your own private entrance, and ascend the floating stairs into a luxurious open plan kitchen, dining and living space. Dressed with imported Fratelli Onofri oven, separate scullery & easy flow to an ocean facing covered patio & jacuzzi.

The main bedroom leads into an opulent en-suite bathroom with rainfall shower.  Glimpses of the ocean can be seen right from your grand king size bed, whilst sipping on your favourite Nespresso coffee.  Double doors lead out onto a cantilever balcony, which stretches around the villa, offering a 360 degree view of the surrounding mountains and, in season, you just might spot dolphins and whales through your binoculars.

Let's not forget why you've chosen here ...

Below is the dramatic and impressive landscape which echoes the drive to Alder Heights, along the breath-taking False Bay Coast Line, south side of the Cape Peninsula. It boasts some of the most spectacular look-out points in South Africa. The peaceful coastal village of Rooi Els lays at the end of this exquisite drive, on the eastern side of False Bay. With approximately 300 homes, it is perfect for nature lovers, situated within a UNESCO Biosphere with stunning hikes, mountain biking, Kayaking, or just lazing around within this special Mountain & Wild Beach Retreat. The local residents live a symbiotic relationship with a troop of Baboons who can be seen throughout the area. These intelligent animals play a significant role in the eco environment and the sustainability of the surrounding Fynbos. The wrap around cantilever balcony at Alder Heights has been designed to hinder our resident baboon troop so you can enjoy them, and the surrounding views, without too much concern of intrusion.

Rooiels is about 20km from Gordon’s Bay, approx 50 minutes from Cape Town International and around an hour from Cape Town. There are a number of other villages close by. Rooiels is 5 km’s north of Pringle Bay, 14km Betty’s Bay, 26km from Kleinmond, and 62km from the side town of Hermanus, known world-wide for its Whale Festival and sightings of Southern Right Whales between Winter and Spring (June to November) the ideal time to view. It’s not unusual to spot these beautiful mammals right on the doorstep of our very own Rooiels.
